 | Elements of a Science Plan for the North Pacific Research Board (2004) Report Summary The North Pacific Research Board, which funds marine research activities in the Arctic Ocean, the Bering Sea, and the North Pacific Ocean, was established by Congress in 1997. The North Pacific Research Board's funding comes from settlement money from a Supreme Court case regarding Alaska's ownership of submerged land along the North Slope. This report provides guidance for the North Pacific Research Board as they work toward fulfilling key organizational goals.
