Objective:
This workshop will consider the opportunities and challenges for multi-hazards research and planning. Examples of scientific research on natural, technological and human-induced hazards and resultant technologies will be discussed, along with efforts to achieve multi-hazards mitigation and preparedness goals at the local, state, and national level and in the public and private sector. Factors that facilitate effective multi-hazards research and all-hazards planning will be considered with an eye towards future as well as current needs and opportunities in the nation.
